The Purpose of Writing



Walt: Understand the purpose of a piece of writing.

I do not believe that teenagers of today are any worse than previous generations.

Answer: I’m neutral because some teenagers do bad like smoking and, some teenagers do their school work and read like any other person would do.

To Kill a Mockingbird, written by Harper Lee, was first published in 1960. Lee was awarded the Pulitzer Prize for her novel. 

Answer: I’ve never read the mockingbird book and I don’t know much about the author.

It is necessary to wear heat proof gloves when you take a hot, cast-iron pan out of the oven, because metal conducts heat.

Answer: I agree because if you don’t wear gloves you will burn your hands off

Some people believe that rugby is the greatest sport in the history of sport, while others give that title to ‘the beautiful game’, football.

Answer: I don’t really know what to write because I don’t understand.

    It was lovely to meet you today and help you with your blog post. I think that your diagram about the purpose of writing is eye catching and clear to follow.

    I have read To Kill a Mocking Bird. It is an excellent book and I recommend you read it sometime in the future. But first get through all the Unfortunate Events Series. They are great books.
